Mary K. Middleton, 85, died at 11:10 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2024, at Jerseyville Manor. Born August 7, 1938, in Greenfield, IL, she was the daughter of Harvey and Mina (Savage) Bryant. She retired as a cashier from Melville Dairy. On March 6, 1958 she married Robert “Bob” Middleton in Alton. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2021. Surviving are four daughters, Conya Cowan of Alton, Sandi Middleton (Frank Bock Jr.) of Alton, Stacey McKeon (James) of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Melanie O’Neal (Brian) of St. Louis, MO, two sons, Gary Trappy (MiMi) of Stuart, FL and Steve Trappey (Debra) of Alton, 10 grandchildren, Cristen Easton (Chris), Chris Trappy, Brian Trappy (Katie), Justin Voyles (Chanelle Francois), Nathan Evans (Monique Melanson), Ian Cloninger, T.J. Cowan, Jane Cowan (Chance Colborn), Amber Hatten (Jonny) and Andrew Middleton, and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Beulah Henson of Palmyra and Geraldine Bryant of Alton.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, LeRoy Trappy, a grandson, Nicholas Middleton, three brothers, Michael, James and Harvey Bryant and a sister, Shirley Shive.
