
JERSEYVILLE - Jersey rallied from a two-run deficit to defeat Civic Memorial 3-2 in the second semifinal on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, scoring the winning run in the seventh inning to advance to the Jersey IHSA 3A Regional baseball final against Triad.
Triad beat Taylorville 5-0 in the other regional semifinal matchup on Wednesday.

Civic Memorial scored single runs in the first and third innings to take a 2-0 lead over Jersey. Jersey answered with two runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game before pushing across the deciding run in the seventh.
Maddox Vanausdoll had a hit and an RBI for the Panthers, while Abe Kribs added the other hit. Shane Lamer pitched a complete game for the win and struck out two.
For the Eagles, Brock Rust had two hits and two RBIs. He also struck out eight on the mound.
Jersey improved to 22-13 under head coach Darren Perdun and will play Triad in the final Saturday at 11 a.m. Civic Memorial finished its season 17-19.
The winner of the Jersey regional championship plays at 2 p.m. against the winner of the Marion High School Regional in the Triad Sectional on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The championship of the Triad Sectional is at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

In other regional semifinal games, Highland edged Charleston 4-3 at Mattoon, Marion defeated East St. Louis 10-0 at Marion, and Mascoutah beat Cahokia 10-0 at Mascoutah.
