Police Seek Suspect In Jack in the Box Robbery

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Metropolitan Police District 1 officers are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a man and vehicle connected to a July 2, 2026, robbery at a restaurant in St. Louis’ Southampton neighborhood, where a 65-year-old man was injured, according to authorities.

Police said the robbery happened at about 11:50 a.m. July 2, 2026, inside the Jack in the Box in the 4200 block of South Kingshighway.

A preliminary investigation found that the 65-year-old man was eating inside the restaurant when a male suspect approached and took the man’s wallet from the table, authorities said.

The suspect then ran out of the business and got into an older model gold Toyota Avalon, police said. The victim told investigators he approached the car and reached inside to get his wallet back, but the suspect reversed the vehicle, dragging the man to the ground before fleeing out of sight.

The victim suffered lacerations to his arm and was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to authorities.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
