Edwardsville Police Charge Missouri, Glen Carbon Residents With DUI, Drug Possession

EDWARDSVILLE – Two drug-related DUI incidents in Edwardsville have resulted in charges against two in separate but similar Madison County cases.

Tabatha L. Meyer, 36, of Glen Carbon, was charged on Sept. 2, 2026 with a Class 4 felony count of possession of a controlled substance and a Class A misdemeanor count of driving while under the influence.

Meyer allegedly drove a motor vehicle on Center Grove Road in Edwardsville while under the influence of any drug or combination of drugs to a degree that rendered her incapable of safely driving on June 23, 2026.

Charging documents state Meyer was also reportedly in unlawful possession of fentanyl on the same date.

A Missouri resident faces the same set of charges in a separate case also filed on Sept. 2, 2026.

48-year-old Marshall E. Phillipp of Florissant, Mo., faces one count each of possession of a controlled substance (a Class 4 felony) and driving while under the influence (a Class A misdemeanor).

Phillipp is accused of driving on North Main Street in Edwardsville while under the influence of any drug or combination of drugs which rendered him incapable of driving safely on June 21, 2026.

He was also allegedly knowingly in illegal possession of cocaine at the time of the offense, which occurred just two days before the incident involving Meyer.

The Edwardsville Police Department presented both cases against Meyer and Phillipp, and both were ordered released from custody pending trial.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
