Pelletier, Klaas Serving Runs Help Warriors Girls Volleyball Squad Dominate Payson-Seymour

HARDIN - Calhoun used long-serving runs from Camryn Klaas and Lilly Pelletier to beat Payson Seymour 25-11, 25-16 at home Thursday, Oct. 1, improving to 17-4 overall a day after earning its eighth conference victory.

The Warriors defeated North Greene 25-16, 25-16 at home Sept. 30, 2026, head coach Melissa Zipprich said. Calhoun has Brown County left on its conference schedule Oct. 13.

Against Payson Seymour, the opening set began evenly before Klaas delivered a 10-point serving run, including four aces, to give Calhoun a 22-8 lead. Kills from Pelletier and Riley Pohlman helped close out the set.

The Warriors built an early lead in the second set, with Pelletier contributing a nine-point serving run that included three aces. Calhoun maintained its advantage to finish the match.

“The girls played tough and consistently throughout the entire match, putting together a strong all-around performance,” Zipprich said.

Zipprich also credited the Warriors’ serving, defense, hitting and blocking in the victory.

Calhoun will finish the week at the Carlinville Tournament on Saturday.
