PIASA — Hannah Mary’s quickness and court coverage stood out to Southwestern head girls volleyball coach Derek Dempsey during her junior season, when she played as one of the team’s setters.

“Hannah is really quick and covers the floor well,” Dempsey said.

She is an Altonized Community Federal Credit Union Female Athlete of the Month.

Mary, who wears No. 1 in varsity volleyball, also competes in softball and basketball at Southwestern. Dempsey described her as an “incredible athlete” and noted her participation in all three sports.

“Hannah Mary was one of our setters and was a junior this year,” Dempsey said.

Listed at 5-foot-6, Mary wears No. 4 in varsity softball and No. 15 as a guard in varsity basketball.
