AALA's 2026 Historic Home Tour

     Excitement is in the air!  Get ready to be part of something extraordinary as the Alton Area Landmarks Association (AALA) brings back its annual historic home tour!  ??

     Alton, Illinois, is a Mississippi River city steeped in history and rich in architecture.  The city is home to three historic districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places — Christian Hill, Middletown and Upper Alton.  We invite you to tour handpicked historic homes across these districts and take in the rest of the city along the way.

     Please stop by Haskell Park on October 3rd, no earlier than 11:30, to pick up your tour guidebook with addresses and historic information on the selected homes.  You may then proceed on the tour, as outlined in the guidebook and at your own pace, from 12:00 - 5:00.  Thank you for supporting the preservation of our beautiful city!
