Looking for something fun and creative to do this fall? Join us at The Teller Room 1925 in downtown Alton for an afternoon of crafting as we explore Kinusaiga, the Japanese art of creating beautiful fabric pictures without sewing!
Kinusaiga uses colorful fabric tucked into specially prepared foam to create artwork with a stained-glass appearance. It's a unique craft that's surprisingly beginner-friendly, and no sewing or previous experience is necessary.
Participants will choose from several fall-inspired designs, including sunflowers, pumpkins, autumn leaves, acorns, and scarecrows.
All supplies are included in the $30 registration fee, including fabric, a 6×6 foam base, patterns, tools, a wooden mounting panel, and step-by-step instruction.
Everyone will leave with their own completed 6×6 Kinusaiga artwork, ready to display at home or give as a handmade gift!
