After the giveaway, Pruitt Mechanical Services delivered the remaining turkeys to local first responders, including multiple fire and police departments. Recipients included the Fosterburg Fire Department, Godfrey Fire Protection District, Alton Police Department, Alton Fire Department Stations 1 and 2, East Alton Police and Fire Departments, Wood River Police and Fire Departments, Roxana Police and Fire Departments, and Bethalto Police and Fire Departments. Each member of these departments received a turkey.
“We personally delivered turkeys to the first responders — the ones who don’t get holidays off, who show up on the worst days, and carry this community quietly and humbly every single day,” the company said in a statement. “Sometimes the people who protect and serve need to be reminded that they’re seen and appreciated too.”
The Alton Police Department publicly thanked Pruitt Mechanical Services for the donation. “Your kindness and support mean a lot to the men and women of the Alton Police Department. Community partners like you help make the holidays brighter for those who serve,” the department said.
Pruitt Mechanical Services described the event as more than a giveaway, emphasizing the importance of community support. “It’s not about the number of turkeys. It’s about making sure no table goes empty — and no heart goes un-seen,” the company said.
The initiative reflects Pruitt Mechanical Services’ commitment to its community, describing itself as “family-owned, community-rooted, service-obsessed, built for generations.”
