SAINT LOUIS - Winterfest has returned to St. Louis.

Gateway Arch Park Foundation will host Winterfest from now until Jan. 11, 2026, in Kiener Plaza. Complete with ice skating, igloos, lights, markets, special events and more, Winterfest promises to be a fun experience for families and couples to enjoy.

“We are just excited to have everybody down,” said Camille Brooks with the foundation. “The rink is set and ready for everybody to come hang out with us. The backdrop, the courthouse, the arch, it’s a beautiful setting in the middle of downtown. There’s more than a thousand twinkling lights. It’s set in just a beautiful atmosphere. We’d love for people to come down and skate with us.”

The ice skating rink is open from 4–8 p.m. on Fridays and 12–8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The rink will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25, but they will have extended hours from Dec. 26–31.

She emphasized the beauty of Kiener Plaza, which highlights Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s focus on supporting the arch grounds.

“At Gateway Arch Park Foundation, it’s our mission to activate the arch grounds and surrounding areas, to bring light to how beautiful it is, to bring people down over and over for lots of different experiences,” Brooks said. “This is one of those moments where people get to come down and enjoy the arch grounds. It is our hometown national park. We’re so excited to really foster that and share that with the community.”
