SATURDAY'S RESULTS
FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 56, CARLYLE 43: McGivney raced out to a 27-20 halftime lead in winning the consolation championship at the Dupo tournament over Carlyle.
Layla Tobin led the Griffins with 16 points, with Bristol Ellis adding eight points.
McGivney is now 2-1, while the Indians are 1-2.
CIVIC MEMORIAL 56, JACKSONVILLE 10: In the Taylorville tournament, CM took a 40-8 halftime lead in seeing off Jacksonville.
Bryn Helminger led the Eagles with 14 points, while Marley Ogden scored 11 points, and Addison Jeffrey came up with 10 points.
The Crimsons are now 0-4.
EAST ST. LOUIS 41, GATEWAY LEGACY CHRISTIAN 37: In a weekend-long shootout at St. Louis Miller Career Academy, East St. Louis held off Gateway Legacy o Florissant, Mo, by outscoring the Lions in the second half 23-19.
Maulysia Sewell led East Side with 13 points, while Javonni Winters hit for eight points.
The Flyers are now 2-1, while Gateway Legacy is now 1-1.
HIGHLAND 41, BROWNSTOWN 34: At a tournament in Pana, Highland took a close win over Brownstown.
Jordan Bircher, Ari Nanney, and Sophie Schroeder all led the Bulldogs with seven points each.
Both Highland and the Bombers are now 3-1 in the young season.
COLUMBIA 64, WATERLOO 57: Columbia rallied from an early deficit to take the win over Waterloo in their Thanksgiving tournament.
Kinley Jany had a big game for the Eagles, scoring 29 points, while Ava Mathews added 19 points.
Columbia is now 2-1, while the Bulldogs go to 1-2.
BREESE MATER DEI CATHOLIC 51, MATTOON 23: Mater Dei took a win over Mattoon in a tournament game.
Marlee Loepker led the Knights with 17 points, while Helana Timmermann added 12 points, and Amelia Beer came up with 10 points.
The Green Wave is now 0-3.

MT. OLIVE 51, EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 45: Mt. Olive came back from a slight deficit to outscore EAWR 29-20 to take the win.
Kaylynn Buttry had a big game for the Oilers with 32 points, while Hailey Handler added 10 points.
The Wildcats are now 2-1.
BENTON 40, GRANITE CITY 23: In the final of the Sparta tournament, Benton outscored Granite 28-11 to win the championship.
Tyhlee Simms led the Warriors with eight points, while Malone Grady added five points.
The Rangers are now 3-0, while the Warriors are 2-1.
MARISSA-COULTERVILLE 43, ROXANA 31: Roxana took a 21-14 lead at halftime, but Marissa-Coulterville outscored Roxana in the second half 29-11 to take the win.
Ava Cherry led the Shells with 11 points, while both Josie Brannon and Leah Newton had six points each.
The Meteors start off 3-0, while the Shells are 2-1.
LINCOLN 40, HIGHLAND 33: In the Pana tournament, Lincoln took a close win over Highland.
Jordan Bircher led the Bulldogs with 11 points, while Sophie Schroeder hit for six points.

O'FALLON 51, LOCKPORT 30: In the O'Fallon Southern Illinois Shootout, O'Fallon built up a big lead in defeating Lockport.
Josie Christopher led the Panthers with 27 points, while Nakia McCottrell added 13 points.
O'Fallon is now 2-0, while the Porters go to 2-2.
In other games on Saturday, Metro-East Lutheran lost at Dupo 38-20, Waterloo Gibault Catholic defeated New Athens at Dupo 52-34. Belleville East won over Triad 85-50, Breese Central defeated Lockport Township in the O'Fallon shootout 41-30, Edwardsville got a buzzer-beating three from Kennedy Gieseking to defeat Dunlap 56-53, and Cahokia won a 2-0 forfeit victory over St.Louis McKinley.

EAST ST. LOUIS 60, CAHOKIA 27: East St. Louis built a 43-15 lead in taking the win over Cahokia in the shootout at St. Louis Miller Career Academy.
Skyler Wood led the Flyers with 15 points, while Maulysia Sewell added eight points.
East Side is now 2-1, while the Comanches are 1-2.

BELLEVILLE ALTHOFF CATHOLIC 71, ST. LOUIS METRO 25: Althoff went ahead 39-17 at halftime in taking a big win over Metro.
Gabby Dalke led the Crusaders with 16 points, while Reece Distler came up with 14 points.
Althoff is now 1-2, while the Panthers open up 0-1.
In other games played on Monday, Red Bud nipped Dupo 36-32, while Waterloo Gibault Catholic won over Belleville West 53-38.

Owen Kolesa led the Griffins with 18 points, while Chase Jansen came up with 10 points.
McGivney opens the season 1-0, while Mulberry Grove starts off 0-1.
CAHOKIA 59, MT. ZION 42: On opening night of the boys basketball season, Cahokia took a 25-17 halftime lead in going on to defeat host Mt. Zion in the Braves' Thanksgiving tournament.
Taven Miller led the Comanches with 17 points, while Corrion Raiford added 13 points, and C'narri Griffin came up with 11 points.
Cahokia opens up at 1-0, while Mt. Zion begins at 0-1.
In other games played on Monday, Edwardsville opened its season on the right foot with a 51-34 win over Effingham St. Anthony Catholic, St. Elmo won over Lebanon 74-55, in the opening game of the Alton Invitational showcase, Jennings, Mo. won over Highland 64-48. Freeburg stopped Centralia 74-33 in the opening day of the Roxana Hoopsgiving Classic, Maryville Christian took a 56-24 win over Farina South Central, In the Lincoln Invitational, Belleville West got past Springfield 52-45, Belleville East won over Ritenour of Overland, Mo. 68-56, and in another game of the Hoopsgiving Classic, host Roxana outscored Jersey in the middle two quarters 29-16 to take a 56-46 win.
