GODFREY - The North Alton-Godfrey Business Council recently hosted their Breakfast With Santa event, and NAGBC President Zeke Jabusch couldn’t be prouder of their work.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, community members came together for a hot breakfast and photos with Santa Claus in Godfrey. Jabusch noted his gratitude for the crowd and the people who have made the event happen for the past 21 years.
“We’re so pleased to be able to do this,” he said. “This is our 21st annual. We’re happy to see so many smiling faces.”
As an organization, NAGBC connects local business owners and entrepreneurs. They work hard to support nonprofits across the Riverbend region.
Jabusch, who also currently serves as the chairperson of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign alongside his wife Joyce, emphasized the importance of giving back. He believes this is one of the most important things that NAGBC can do.
“We try to support all of the philanthropic organizations who are giving back to mankind and the children,” he explained. “We support the Boys and Girls Club. We support The Salvation Army, Crisis Food Center, Oasis Women’s Center. We try to support the means of giving back to support the community.”
Jabusch added that NAGBC is also working on the Benjamin Godfrey Legacy Trail to recognize ten locations that Godfrey impacted during his life. For more information about NAGBC and their work, visit their official website.
As Jabusch prepared for Santa’s arrival on Dec. 6, he pointed out that the Breakfast With Santa event could not happen without the many sponsors and volunteers who support it.
He thanked the Alton and Godfrey communities for their contributions over the years, and he expressed his hope that NAGBC can continue to host events and programs like this for years to come.
“We’re just so very appreciative of those who are able to support it,” he said. “We think it’s a great event for families. We’ve tried to incorporate good entertainment, wholesome entertainment, and hopefully it’ll all relate to the spirit of Christmas and to the Lord.”
