Calhoun-Brussels Girls Win First Franke Court High School Game Since 2021

The Lady Warriors triumphed 43-33 over Roxana, marking the return of high school basketball to Franke Court after a four-year hiatus.

BRUSSELS - It had been since the 2020-2021 school year since a high school game had been played on Franke Court in Brussels but it happened on Monday night, Dec. 8, 2025, when Calhoun-Brussels took on Roxana's girls.

Calhoun-Brussels emerged a 43-33 winner in the contest. Anna Eberlin led Calhoun with a 12-point performance; Bralyn Lammy added nine points.

For Roxana, Kylee Slayden had 11 points and Leah Newton 10 points.

Calhoun-Brussels girls coach Mark Hillen was ecstatic about the win: "The Lady Warriors won going away, despite a 4 from 10 effort from the free throw line in the 4th quarter. Anna Eberlin led in scoring with 12 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Sadie Kiel had 8 rebounds to go with her 7 points. Riley Pohlman hit two 3's off the bench."

Coach Hillen said: "A 14-point ball game quickly ballooned to 20-plus early in the 3rd quarter and the Lady Warriors were buried on the road. Father McGivney had a very balanced attack, having 4 players with 8 points or more and knocking down 10 three pointers and 10 field goals inside the arc."
