The program pairs current and former members of the Edwardsville Police Department with children selected in coordination with Edwardsville School District #7.

Organizers credited the Edwardsville Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 244 for their year-long fundraising efforts, which helped make the community event possible. Additional support came from local businesses, including Chick-fil-A, Edwardsville Target, Kloss Furniture & Outlet, Schnucks, The Massey Team of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties, Lantz Homes, and Mark's Appliance, among others.
