
GRANITE CITY - Pizza World in Granite City presented a check for $17,955.17 to Police Officer Tyler Timmons last week as part of a fundraiser supporting the officer.

The funds were raised through the restaurant’s Dine to Donate program, which drew significant community participation.
Officer Timmons was shot on Dec. 5, 2025, near the Pizza World location in Granite City. The incident led to the charging of 26-year-old DJ W. Marshall on Dec. 18, 2025. Marshall faces multiple felony counts, including attempted first-degree murder.
“We are honored to present a check to Granite City Police Officer Tyler Timmons in the amount of $17,955.17 from the Dine to Donate program,” Eric Wortham, President/CEO of Pizza World USA Franchise Corp., said in a statement. “The community support was incredible. Thank you to everybody who came out for this event and made donations. We are GC strong!”
