McAdams Paces Carrollton With 16-Point Performance, Hawks Advance To Beardstown Girls Tourney Semis

BEARDSTOWN — The Carrollton girls basketball team has solidified its standing as one of the area’s top squads during the 2025-2026 season, compiling a 12-2 record so far. The Lady Hawks advanced to the semifinals of the Beardstown Tournament and are set to face West Hancock at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2025.

Carrollton secured its spot in the semifinals with a 46-30 victory over Abingdon-Avon in the quarterfinals on Saturday, Dec. 27. Earlier in the tournament, the Lady Hawks defeated Triopia 64-49.

Key contributors in the win against Abingdon-Avon included Chloe McAdams, who scored 16 points, and Blake Driskill, who added 12 points. Hayden McMurtie contributed 11 points, while Hadley Lake scored 7 points. Kennedy Quinn had 13 points for Abingdon-Avon.

The Lady Hawks will look to continue their strong performance as they prepare for Monday’s semifinal matchup.
