Godfrey to Suspend Stamper Lane Yard Waste Site

The yard waste drop-off site in Godfrey will close temporarily after January 10, 2026, reopening mid-March based on weather conditions.

GODFREY - Godfrey will temporarily suspend its yard waste drop-off site on Stamper Lane for the winter after Jan. 10, 2026, village officials announced. The site is scheduled to reopen in mid-March, weather permitting.

Residents with full bags of yard waste during the closure can arrange limited drop-off by calling (618) 466-1483 for scheduling.

Existing yard waste bag stickers will remain valid throughout the suspension period.

In addition, Christmas trees will be accepted for recycling through Jan. 16, 2026, at the Public Works facility located at 6212 Godfrey Road. No appointment is necessary for tree drop-off.
