GRANITE CITY - Granite City scored a decisive 65-44 victory over Belleville East on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at Granite City Memorial Gym, snapping a four-game losing streak at the Collinsville Prairie Farms Classic.

The Warriors took control early, opening the game with a 16-3 first-quarter lead and holding a 25-13 advantage at halftime before outscoring the Lancers 43-31 in the second half.

Jaylin Hall led Granite City with 20 points, followed by Antonio Dean III with 15, Evan Brewer with 14, and Javier Cass with 12.

For Belleville East, Jalen Coleman scored 14 points and James Johnson added 11.

With the win, Granite City improved to 9-7 on the season, while Belleville East’s record fell to 8-6.

Granite City returns to action on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, at home against Highlight and travels to SISHS on Jan. 16, 2026, and hosts Madison at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026.

Belleville East hosts Edwardsville on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026. Belleville East travels to Alton on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, for another encounter.
