ALTON - Alton High School’s girls bowling teams delivered strong performances against Edwardsville at Bowl Haven in Alton on Wednesday afternoon, January 7, 2026, at their home lanes.

The Alton High School varsity girls showcased notable skill, led by junior Chloe McIntyre, who posted a 609 series with games of 170, 214, and 225. Other key contributors included Isa Espinoza, who recorded games of 202, 203, and 159; Lindsey Reibel, with a 560 series consisting of 167, 224, and 169; and Kamryn Buchanan, who bowled a 200 game.
The team emphasized consistency in filling frames throughout the match.
On the junior varsity side, Alton High swept the Edwardsville Tigers with a 7-0 victory. Freshman Jaycee Dwiggins led the way with games of 191, 212, and 182. Sophomore Myra Sutton also posted a high game of 204, while sophomore Kylie Steinkuehler and junior Maddie Kemper contributed with scores of 172 and 164, respectively.
Alton Coach Jaime Dwiggins noted the continued growth and focus of the teams as the season progresses.
“The growth and focus are continuing to develop, which is so important at this time of the season,” said Coach Dwiggins.
Alton High’s girls bowling teams are scheduled to compete next at the Lancer Tournament on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
