Burton, a senior, has played softball since her freshman year. She also participated on the volleyball team for two years. It takes a lot of hard work to be a successful student athlete, but Burton makes it look easy.
She succeeds academically as a member of the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service. She was also recently inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society and the mathematics honor society Mu Alpha Theta.
As a strong leader, Burton takes pride in representing her classmates. She serves as the secretary and treasurer of the Student Council, and she is the secretary of the Spanish National Honor Society.
Outside of school, Burton works a part-time job and plays select softball. She also enjoys working out, shopping, playing pickleball, going on walks, and spending time with her friends.
She has big plans for the future, and her teachers and loved ones know she will knock it out of the park.
“I will be going to SIUE and I will be majoring in nursing,” Burton shared. “I am wanting to become a NICU nurse.”
Congratulations to Grace for this recognition by Civic Memorial High School and the DD Homes Network!
