
JACKSONVILLE - Jersey Community Middle School Wrestling team placed fourth out of 22 teams at the recent tournament held in Jacksonville. The competition featured top middle school wrestling teams from the region.
Jersey’s standout performers included Wade Ball at 119 pounds and Brody Olano at 215 pounds, who both captured individual championships in their weight classes.

Additional strong finishes came from Grayson Mangara, Bennett Leslie, and Caleb Olano, each securing second place in their respective divisions. Brody White finished fifth, while Mason Warren and Andrew Ray placed eighth.
In the girls' division, Charlotte Hinkson earned a third-place finish, contributing to Jersey’s overall success at the event. Other notable girls’ competitors from the tournament included Cheyenne Epstein and Brooklynn Cathcart, who also placed third.
The top five teams at the tournament were Chatham Glenwood in first place, followed by Alton, Rock Island, Jersey, and Aledo Mercer County. The event highlighted the competitive spirit and skill level of the Jersey Panther Wrestling program as it continues to develop young athletes.
