For her achievements, Sophie Hull is a Hayner Public Library District Student of the Month for Alton High School.
Hull, a senior, has been a part of the school’s Tatler staff for three years. She currently serves as the editor-in-chief of the yearbook.
She also participates in the Redbird Nest, Spanish Club, Quill & Scroll and Art Club. She was recently inducted into the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service.
Hull competes on the Dance Team through Alton High School, and she has been a competitive dancer at Dazzler Dance Company for nine years. She often teaches tumbling and dance classes to young kids.
In addition to all of her academics and extracurriculars, Hull holds a part-time job. She spends most of her free time at her dance studio, but she also enjoys hanging out with her friends, baking and going out to eat.
She has won many awards through dance and her work with the Tatler. Hull also maintains honor roll or high honor roll status every semester.
She knows exactly what she wants to do after graduation, and her teachers and loved ones can’t wait to see her succeed.
“After graduation, I will be attending the University of Kansas and majoring in speech pathology,” she shared. “I plan to become a licensed pediatric speech pathologist.”
Congratulations to Sophie for this recognition by Alton High School and the Hayner Public Library District!
