ROXANA 46, WATERLOO GIBAULT CATHOLIC 41: Gibault led Roxana at the half 25-15, with the Shells rallying in the second half to outscore the Hawks 31-16 to take the win at Larry Milazzo Memorial Gym.
Daisy Daugherty led Roxana with 24 points, while Ava Cherry scored 11 points.
The Shells are now 9-10, while Gibault slips to 12-10.
CARLYLE 60, FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 51: Carlyle led McGivney at the half 28-16, and held off a Griffins comeback try to take the win at home.
Elle Willenborg led McGivney with 15 points, while Alexa Jones, Zoie Oller, and Layla Tobin all scored 10 points each.
The Indians are now 10-8, while the Griffins fall to 16-5.
In other games played on Wednesday, Chatham Glenwood won over visiting Civic Memorial 60-38, Concord Triopia won over Greenfield Northwestern 57-43, and Pinckneyville won over Waterloo 35-21.
BOYS BASKETBALL
COLUMBIA 50, ST. LOUIS LUTHERAN SOUTH 37: Columbia led Lutheran South at halftime 28-21, then outscored the Lancers in the second half 23-18 to win the game at home.
Eddie Smajic led the Eagles with 17 points, while Kyle Chubb had 15 points, and Brody Landgraf added 13 points.
Columbia is now 12-4, while Lutheran South goes to 3-6
CARLINVILLE 52, BARRY WESTERN 30: In the semifinals of the Winchester West Central tournament, Carlinville led Western at the half 26-17, and advanced to Friday's final with the win.
Tristan Thompson led the Cavaliers with 14 points, while both Tate Duckles and Sawyer Smith added 13 points each.
Carlinville is now 10-6, while the Wildcats go to 3-12.
In other games played on Wednesday, in the Chester Invitational tournament, New Athens defeated Ste. Genevieve, Mo. Valle Catholic 51-35, Effingham defeated Civic Memorial 58-53, and at Winchester, Calhoun won over the host Cougars 56-46.

WEDNESDAY
JCHS Girls and Boys Bowling teams traveled to Waterloo. The Varsity Lady Panthers fell to Waterloo, 2038–2638. Mila Lancaster led the team with a high game of 191 and a high series of 535. The JV Boys also came up short, losing 1672–2363. Alex Cassens paced the Panthers with the high game of the match, rolling a 200. In Varsity Boys action, the final score was 2796–3256. Clark Blasa recorded a high game of 232 and a series of 608, while Aaron Hughes led all bowlers with a high series of 630 and added a high game of 214.
JCMS Wrestling hosted Trimpe Middle School and battled hard but ultimately fell by a score of 48–58. Despite the team loss, JCMS had several standout performances. Key victories were recorded by Carter Scott, Grayson Mangara, Bennett Leslie, Caleb Olano, Brody White, and Brody Olano, helping keep the dual meet competitive throughout.
