BETHALTO - The Civic Memorial Lady Eagles and the Jersey Lady Panthers battled through a tight matchup that featured momentum swings before CM pulled away late for a convincing win Friday night.

Civic Memorial jumped out to an early edge, holding a 14–12 lead at the end of the first quarter behind strong defensive pressure and steady scoring. Jersey responded in the second quarter, finding their rhythm on offense and edging ahead 23–21 by halftime.
The game turned decisively after the break as the Lady Eagles took control in the third quarter. Civic Memorial dominated both ends of the floor, outscoring Jersey 24–3 to build a commanding 45–26 lead heading into the final period.
Both teams matched each other with seven points apiece in the fourth quarter, but the outcome was already decided as Civic Memorial cruised to a 52–33 victory.
The Lady Eagles’ strong second-half surge proved to be the difference, showcasing their depth and defensive intensity, while Jersey fought hard but couldn’t recover after the third-quarter run.
CM was led by Addie Jeffery with 17 points and Marlee Durbin with 11 points.
Jersey was led by Meredith Gray and Anna Kribs both had 8 points.
