
ST. CLAIR COUNTY - With dropping temperatures and a winter storm incoming, there are several warming centers available for community members throughout the Riverbend region. We encourage you to check that these locations are open, as some might be closed due to inclement weather.
BELLEVILLE
- Belleville Public Library
- The library opens every day at 9 a.m. except for Sundays.
- Belleville Public Library West Branch
- This library is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. On Tuesday and Thursday, it is open from 12–8 p.m.
- Southwestern Illinois College Program and Services for Older Persons
- At 201 N. Church Street, this building is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- The Salvation Army of St. Clair County
- The Salvation Army is open most days as a warming center, excluding Saturday an Sunday.
BREESE
- Breese Public Library
- The library is open every day except for Sunday.
CAHOKIA
- Cahokia Public Library District
- The library is open every day at 9 a.m. except Sundays.
COLLINSVILLE
- Collinsville Memorial Public Library
- The library at 408 W. Main Street in Collinsville is a warming center during its hours of operation.
- Collinsville Township Senior Citizens Center
- Located at 420 E. Main Street, the center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
COLUMBIA
- Columbia Public Library
- The library is open every day except for Sunday.

EAST ST. LOUIS
- Clyde C. Jordan Senior Citizens Center
- At 6755 State Street, this building is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Department of Human Services St. Clair County
- This location in East St. Louis is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Lessie Bates Davis Mary Brown Community Center
- Located at 606 S. 15th Street, this center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Lessie Bates Davis Seasoned Circle Cafe and Neighborhood House, Inc.
- Both located at 1200 N. 13th Street in East St. Louis, these locations are open Saturday and Sunday when temperatures are below 20 degrees, or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
- The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Center
- This 24/7 warming center is located at 3718 State Street in East St. Louis.
FAIRMONT
- Fairmont City Hall
- Located at 2568 N. 41st Street, the Fairmont City Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Fairmont City Library Center
- The library, located at 4444 Collinsville Road, is open every day except for Sunday.
FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS
- Fairview Heights Public Library
- The library is open every day except for Sunday.
GRANITE CITY
- Six Mile Regional Library District
- The Niedringhaus Building and the Johnson Road branch are both open every day of the week except for Sundays.
- The Overnight Warming Location
- In Granite City, the Overnight Warming Location is located at Mt. Zion Church at 2827 Mockingbird Lane. The OWL opens from 5 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. when temperatures are forecasted to drop below 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Guests receive a cot, two meals and bus tokens.
LEBANON
- Lebanon Public Library
- The library opens at 12 p.m. every day except for Sunday.
MASCOUTAH
- City of Mascoutah City Hall
- The building’s Church Street doors will be open from Friday, Jan. 23 through Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, to help people manage through this weekend’s extreme temperatures.
- Leu Civic Center
- Located at 213 N. Market Street, this building opens every day at 11 a.m. except for Saturday and Sunday.
- Mascoutah Public Library
- The library opens at 9 a.m. every day except for Sundays.
O’FALLON
- O’Fallon City Hall
- The building remains open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- O’Fallon Public Library
- The library is open every day at 120 Civic Plaza.
- O’Fallon Public Safety Building
- This location at 285 N. 7 Hills Road is open 24/7 during periods of extreme cold.
