Marquette Catholic's Corbin Barnard Secures Spot in Illinois State Bowling Finals

ALTON - Marquette Catholic High School senior Corbin Barnard is set to compete in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Bowling Finals starting on Jan. 30, 2026, in O’Fallon.

Barnard earned his spot by finishing fifth with a score of 1,361 at the Minooka Sectional competition, following his victory as the individual regional champion.

Barnard advanced to the sectional round alongside teammates Gavin Tinsley and Logan Sherman.

At the regional event, the Marquette Catholic Explorers team placed just behind Edwardsville.

The team’s efforts have been led by highly regarded coach Mark Jones.

The Marquette Catholic school community has extended congratulations to Barnard for his achievement and wishes him success at the upcoming state finals.
