Carrollton, Father McGivney Catholic, Defeated In Carrollton Girls Invitational Semifinal Games

CARROLLTON - West Central slipped past Carrollton 42-36 in a girls' semifinal contest on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, in the Carrollton Invitational.

Ali Little led West Central with a game-high 21 points in the 42-36 win over Carrollton. The game was a semifinal contest on Thursday evening, Jan. 29, 2026.

Hayden McMurtie topped Carrollton scorers with 10 points. Chloe McAdams had 9 points, and Hadley Lake scored 4 points for the Hawks.

Carrollton now has a 17-7 overall record for the season. West Central is 19-7 on the season.

West Central and Liberty square off for the tournament title at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at Carrollton. Carrollton faces Father McGivney Catholic at 5 p.m. on Saturday in Carrollton for third place.

LIBERTY 58, FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 48

Liberty beat Father McGivney Catholic 58-48 in the other semifinal game on Thursday night in the Carrollton Invite.

Weslee John had 18 points to lead West Central, while Alexa Jones paced the Griffins with 11 points. Layla Tobin and Zoe Oller also contributed 7 points apiece.

GREENFIELD-NORTHWESTERN 37, BEARDSTOWN 24

In the other game on Thursday evening, Greenfield-Northwestern defeated Beardstown 37-24.
