ALTON 70, SPRINGFIELD SACRED HEART-GRIFFIN CATHOLIC 55: Alton went on the road Thursday night and brought home a win at SH-G.
Ryan Howard led the Redbirds with 21 points, while Jamarion Green added 16 points, and O'Bryant Brown scored 10 points.
Alton is now 14-7, while the Cyclones slip to 8-11.
In the only other boys' game on the night, Edinburg defeated Greenfield Northwestern 60-50.
GIRLS BASKETBALL

COLUMBIA 64, SALEM 59 (OT): Salem led at the half 27-23, but Columbia rallied back to tie the game after regulation at 57-57 to force overtime, then outscored the Wildcats in the bonus period 7-2 to win on the road.
Kinley Jany led the Eagles with 19 points, while Addison Dewilde came up with 17 points, Ava Mathews scored 13 points, and Riley Bahr had 12 points.
Columbia is now 14-9, while Salem drops to 14-11.

ST. LOUIS KIPP ACADEMY 37, CAHOKIA 33: KIPP and Cahokia were tied at halftime 13-13, but the Wolves outscored the Comanches in the second half 24-20 to take the win at Cahokia's gym.
Dakota Bell led Cahokia with 13 points, while Yareli Gonzalez and A'Liesha DeLoach both scored seven points.
KIPP is now 4-2, while the Comanches are now 2-22.
HIGHLAND 56, EFFINGHAM ST. ANTHONY CATHOLIC 32: Highland led from wire-to-wire in taking the win over St. Anthony at home.
Jordan Bircher led Highland with 18 points, while Sophie Schroeder came up with 11 points.
Highland is now 16-11, while St. Anthony falls to 13-8.
BELLEVILLE EAST 59, BELLEVILLE WEST 18: In the crosstown rivalry game at the West gym, East led all the way through, leading at halftime 42-8, to take the win.
GaKorria Green led the Maroons with eight points, while Josie Coughlin added seven points, and ChiYina Wilson had three points.
The Lancers improve to 21-4, while West is now 4-18.
MT. VERNON 58, BELLEVILLE ALTHOFF CATHOLIC 34: At the Mt. Vernon gym, Althoff and the Rams were tied at halftime 26-26, but Mt. Vernon outscored the Crusaders in the second half 32-8 to win going away.
Gabby Dalke led Althoff with 19 points, while Reece Distler added 12 points.
The Rams are now 10-12, while the Crusaders go to 7-15.
O'FALLON 64, COLLINSVILLE 14: O'Fallon led at halftime 36-11, and had little trouble seeing off Collinsville at the OTHS Panther Dome.
Josie Christopher led the Panthers with 23 points, while Symone Bynum had 12 points, and Sasha Kelly scored 11 points.
O'Fallon is now 17-8, while the Kahoks go to 6-17.
CARLINVILLE 58, PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 40: Carlinville led at halftime 35-21, and went on to the South Central Conference win at the Carlinville Big House.
The Reels sisters led the way for the Cavaliers, as Kaitlyn Reels had 22 points, and Ruthie Reels added 20 points. Bells Kirby led the Piasa Birds with 10 points, while Samantha Stormer came up with eight points.
Carlinville is now 11-14, with Southwestern going to 12-14.
In other games played on Thursday in the Lady Hawk Invitational, Greenfield Northwestern got past Beardstown 37-34, while in the second semifinal, Winchester West Central won over the host Hawks 42-36. and will meet Liberty in the final Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
In other games played, Alton won at Edwardsville 62-39, Marissa-Coulterville defeated Valmeyer 61-23, Waterloo Gibault Catholic won over visiting Bunker Hill 70-41, Carlyle won at Sparta 47-35. Trenton Wesclin got past Red Bud 30-20, and White Hall North Greene won at Mt. Olive 59-35.
JERSEY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT RESULTS
JCMS Volleyball hosted Lewis & Clark and came away with a strong showing from both squads. The 7th-grade team earned a decisive win in straight sets, taking Set 1 25–3 and Set 2 25–9. The 8th-grade Panthers followed with an impressive performance of their own, winning 25–8 and 25–11 to complete the sweep.
JCHS Girls Bowling hosted Southwestern and beat the Birds, 2285–1568. Top performers for the Lady Panthers included Mila Lancaster, who rolled the high game of 224 and the high series of 532. Meyre Maynard also had a strong showing with a best game of 201 and a series of 500.
