BELLEVILLE WEST 60, GRANITE CITY 44: West took an early lead and held on to it throughout in taking a road win over Granite City at Granite City Memorial Gym.
J'Dyn Lloyd led the Maroons with 23 points, while Micah May scored 11 points.
West is now 14-8, while the Warriors fall to 15-9.
CARLINVILLE 52, BUNKER HILL 44: Carlinville held a 29-22 halftime lead and went on to defeat Bunker Hill at the Carlinville Big House.
Sawyer Smith was the Cavaliers' top scorer, with 20 points, while both Tristan Thompson and Tate Duckles hit for 11 points each.
Carlinville is now 13-10, while the Minutemen go to 17-6.
PANA 56, SOUTHWESTERN 49: In a South Central Conference game played on Saturday at Southwestern's gym, the Piasa Birds held a 21-20 lead at the half, but Pana came back to outscore Southwestern in the second half 36-28 to win.
Both Trenton Brackett and Cason Robinson scored 11 points each to lead the Birds, while Carter Bacon added eight points.
The Panthers are now 15-9, while Southwestern goes to 11-12.
In other games played on Monday, Dupo won at home over STEAM Academy at McCluer South-Berkeley of north St. Louis County 58-46 and Alton won at Decatur Eisenhower 58-43. In another game played on Saturday, Greenfield Northwestern won over Pawnee 49-30.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
CIVIC MEMORIAL 71, MASCOUTAH 34: CM held a 41-18 lead at the break and went on to take the Mississippi Valley Conference win at Mascoutah.
Marley Ogden led the Eagles with 24 points, while Marlee Durbin hit for 17 points, and Isabelle Edwards came up with 11 points.
CM is now 19-7, while the Indians slip to 8-15.
MARQUETTE CATHOLIC 62, METRO-EAST LUTHERAN 17: Marquette led all the way from start to finish in taking the Gateway Metro Conference win at the Marquette Family Arena.
Laila Davis had 16 points for the Explorers, with Allie Weiner adding 10 points.
Marquette is now 16-8, while the Knights go to 2-19.
SOUTH COUNTY 43, CARLINVILLE 33
Ruthie Reels had a solid game in a 43-33 loss to South County with a 14-point performance.
Kaitlyn Reels added 9 points for the Cavaliers.
In other games played on Monday, Marissa-Coulterville won over New Athens 51-17, Dupo edged Steeleville 40-39, Breese Central took a 73-18 win over East Alton-Wood River, Salem won over Roxana 43-33, Triad tripped Granite City 54-35, Waterloo won the city championship over Waterloo Gibault Catholic 39-37, Winchester West Central won over Carrollton 54-42, and Greenfield Northwestern got past White Hall North Greene 51-45.
