“It is an amazing group of kids," she said. "We wish we could find more to be part of the program. It is so enlightening to see them play, and I am proud to see them do what they love,” Boscolo said.
Boscolo said Edwardsville has been “a Unified school” for “quite a few years,” adding that increased student involvement has helped the program expand.
“The Unified program is a lot of fun for the schools that participate, and the more students involved in it makes it grow into a special group. We are happy to showcase their skills at halftime. It makes the time so much more fun and exciting,” she said.
Boscolo also said Edwardsville is hosting a Unified regional on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, with a game against Triad at 4:30 p.m. and the winner playing East St. Louis at 6 p.m.
