OWENSBORO, KY. - Grace Carter of Alton has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2025 at Kentucky Wesleyan College.

The Dean’s List celebrates students who attain a minimum 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Kentucky Wesleyan College is a private liberal arts college located in Owensboro, Kentucky, connected to the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1858, the College is committed to educating students in a supportive, close-knit community where personalized attention, academic rigor, and character development are central to the student experience.

2025: Played in 26 matches and 74 sets as a freshman... totaled 128 kills, four assists, and one service ace... she shined defensively with 50 digs and 19 blocks... logged a career-high 16 kills vs. Ursuline... recorded a career-high four blocks at Lake Erie... secured the team's fourth-highest point total with 139.5.

Personal/High School: Zoology major... 3rd in career aces, 6th in career blocks, and 11th in career kills in Alton High School history... finished second in kills, third in aces, and third in digs in the conference during senior year... named to All-Tournament Team in AHS tournament and Granite City tournament... tied the school record for most kills in a game with 18... earned Second Team All-Conference and Academic Second Team All-Conference honors.

She is the daughter of Dan and Jennifer Carter and has one sibling, Xavier.
