Matt Waters Joins Carrollton Bank As Commercial Banking Officer

ALTON – Carrollton Bank announced today that Matt Waters has joined Carrollton Bank as Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking in Alton.

“Matt’s track record shows a long-term commitment to his customers, and that approach aligns well with our philosophy at Carrollton Bank,” said Tom Hough, CEO of Carrollton Bank. “We’re pleased that a veteran banker like Matt has chosen to join our bank.”

Waters will join Steve Thompson in serving the Metro East and surrounding communities, which continue to offer strong growth opportunities. “I’m looking forward to working with our team to build strong relationships and support local businesses as they grow,” said Waters.

Waters brings more than 20 years of banking experience in the Alton, Edwardsville, and Fairview Heights markets. Born and raised in Alton, Matt is an alumnus of Marquette Catholic High School and Quincy University. He is an active board member of the Alton Foundation, Riverbend Growth Association, and Marquette Catholic High School Foundation.

Carrollton Bank is an employee-owned bank, led by the fifth generation of the same family, with more than $3.8 billion in assets and 11 banks in Illinois and Missouri.
