GIRLS BASKETBALL
GRANITE CITY 61, BELLEVILLE WEST 30: Granite led at the break 35-5, and went on to defeat West in their final regular-season home game at Granite City Memorial Gym.
Granite City now vies for its 20th win of the season under head coach Ron Twichell against Riverview Gardens at home on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026. The Warriors face Edwardsville at 7:30 on Feb. 12.
Taliyah Sykes led the Warriors with 19 points, while Malone Grady came up with 10 points.
Granite City is now 19-8. while the Maroons go to 7-19.

JERSEY 50, COLLINSVILLE 40: Jersey led Collinsville at the half 26-14, and held off a comeback attempt to take a win at Havens Gym.
Meredith Gray led the Panthers with 22 points, while Makenna Brunaugh added 12 points. Darlanna Morris led the Kahoks with 13 points, while Karley Call came up with 10 points.
Jersey improves to 14-10, while Collinsville goes to 6-22.
ROXANA 45, MARYVILLE CHRISTIAN 31: Roxana led at halftime 26-20. then outscored Maryville in the second half 19-11, including 15-2 in the third quarter, to take the win at Maryville's gym.
Daisy Daugherty led the Shells with 14 points, while Leah Newton scored 13 points.
Roxana is now 16-14, while the Lions are now 14-11.
FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 51, ALTAMONT 14: McGivney held a 31-12 halftime lead, and went on to a win at Altamont.
Both Alexa Jones and Zoie Oller scored 11 points each for the Griffins, while Elle Willenborg scored nine points.
McGivney is now 24-6, while the Indians fall to 10-14.
WESCLIN 50, EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 31
Wesclin topped East Alton-Wood River 50-31 in a game on Monday night, but KayLynn Buttry still exploded for 18 points to lead the Oilers.
Averi Gilliam had 5 points, Hailey Handler and Maddie Stone had 3 points and Seri Gaunt added 2 points for the Oilers.
In other games played on Monday, Concord Triopia won over White Hal North Greene 52-19, Greenfield Northwestern got past Pittsfield 42-41, Carlinville trimmed Gillespie 57-45. Waterloo Gibault Catholic defeated Dupo 40-18, Marissa-Coulterville stopped Christopher 40-22, Freeburg won over Belleville Althoff Catholic 62-44, and Waterloo defeated East St. Louis 61-20.
BOYS BASKETBALL
In the only game played on Monday, Mt. Sterling Brown County won over White Hall North Greene 48-28, while on Saturday, Carrollton took a 69-59 win over Winchester West Central.
JERSEY ATHLETICS
JCMS 7/8 Volleyball traveled to Bethalto Trimpe. The 7th grade team battled through three close sets but ultimately fell, with scores of 24–26, 25–22, and 13–25. The 8th grade Panthers lost a tough first-set (24–26) to dominate the final two sets, winning 25–13 and 25–13. Ashley Weldon led the Panthers at the net, while Stella Egelhoff provided strong support with excellent assists.
JCHS JV/V Girls Basketball hosted Collinsville on Senior Night and secured wins at both levels. The JV Panthers won 35–20, followed by a 50–40 victory by the Varsity Panthers.
