Stein joined the department after serving three years with the Springfield, Mo., Police Department, according to the O’Fallon Police Department. She is originally from Freeburg and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Missouri State University before beginning her law enforcement career.
Commissioner Ed Martinez administered Stein’s Oath of Office, the department said, formally bringing her onto the force.
The ceremony also included Retired Officer Todd Jones, badge No. 47. The department said Stein now carries badge No. 147, calling it “a meaningful connection between past and present, and a reminder of the legacy of service that continues within our department.”
“We are proud to welcome Officer Stein to the team and look forward to the dedication and professionalism she brings to the community,” the O'Fallon Police Department said.
