O'FALLON - Senior guard Miccah Butler went over the career 1,000-point mark on Friday night, Feb. 13, 2026, with 27 points, hitting on five threes during the game, as Edwardsville pulled out a close 51-50 win over O'Fallon in a Southwestern Conference boys basketball game at the OTHS Panther Dome.

The Tigers trailed most of the way, but rallied back in the final quarter to outscore O'Fallon 15-13 to pull out the win in a nip-and-tuck game all the way.
"It was a great Southwestern Conference win on the road against a good O'Fallon team," said Edwardsville coach Dustin Battas. "O'Fallon played well, and we had to make some tough plays down the stretch to win. I thought Rowan (Weller) was excellent at handling the ball.
"Miccah led us with 27 points, and also hit the 1,000-point mark for his career. Miccah has been very receptive to us coaching him these past three years and has gotten better every day. We have pushed him hard, and he has met every challenge. He's a model of consistency and has never missed a practice. We are happy for Miccah."

On Wednesday, the Tigers were awarded the number one seed in their regional complex for the Rock Island sectional, and will play eighth-seed Quincy on Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. The winner advances to the final against the winner of fifth-seeded Collinsville and fourth-seeded Granite City, who will play in the second game on Feb. 25, on Feb. 27, with the winner moving on to the sectional semifinal against the O'Fallon regional winner in a neutral site game on Mar. 3.
"We hope to keep getting better as we get closer to the postseason," Battas said. "Our guys battled hard tonight and played well together. This has been a great group to work with, and we look forward to having more basketball to play."
Butler scored eight points in the opening period, then hit a pair of threes in the second quarter as the Tigers trailed the Panthers 14-13 after the first quarter, and 28-26 at the interval. Butler hit two more threes in the third quarter and clutch baskets in the fourth as Edwardsville trailed after three, 37-36, but managed to pull the game out in the end, 51-50.
Butler led all scorers with his 27 points, while Weller also played well with 10 points, and Matthew Wilson scored five points. Devyon Hill-Lomax scored four points, and Brady Niemi had three points. Ben Akoro led the Panthers with16 points, while Sutton Massey added 12 points, Bryce Nolden had nine points, Jayden Dancy scored six points, Calvin Dees hit for five points, and Eddy Jackson had two points.
Edwardsville is now 19-7, and hosts the annual Senior Night game Tuesday against Belleville East, then concludes the regular season next Thursday night at St. Louis Confluence Academy, with both games set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
O"Fallon goes to 8-19, and meets Alton in the Panthers' Senior Night home finale game on Tuesday, then concludes the regular season next Friday, Feb. 20, at Belleville West, with both games starting at 7:30 p.m. The Panthers, seeded sixth, meet third seed Alton in their playoff opener at the OTHS Panther Dome Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m., with the winner meeting the winner of second seed Belleville West and seventh seed Belleville East, who play the first game at 6 p.m. on Feb. 25, in the final on Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.
