
ALTON — Marquette Catholic High School senior Jessica Eales was recognized as an Alton-Godfrey Rotary Club February Student of the Month during a recent event at Gentelin’s on Broadway Restaurant, honored for her academic, athletic, and extracurricular achievements.

Eales was one of two students recognized, alongside Heaven Everage of Alton High School, as a Rotary Club of Alton-Godfrey Student of the Month.
Eales, the daughter of Christopher and Christina Eales, has a 4.8 GPA and 34 college dual-credit hours. She has taken a number of Advanced Placement classes, scoring highly in each, and was named an AP Scholar. She has consistently been on the High Honor Roll.
In athletics, Eales has played on the Marquette varsity soccer team for four years. During her junior year, she was named to the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association All Academic Team and the Gateway Conference All-Conference team. She was named a team captain in her senior year.
Eales also serves as president of the school’s National Honor Society chapter and vice president of the Breast Cancer Awareness Club.
She is a member of the student council, Interact Club, and Aces Academic Challenge, and serves as a House captain for the house of St. Catherine of Bologna.
Eales plans to attend Culver-Stockton College in the fall, where she plans to play soccer and major in health sciences.
