CHICAGO - Rayna Raglin of Alton has picked up right where she left off at the end of the 2025 outdoor track and field season, with a tremendous performance this weekend in Chicago at the Fifth Annual Dr. Conrad Worrill Invitational.
Raglin was named the Most Outstanding Athlete of the meet after she recorded first-place finishes in the 60 (7.52) and 200 (24.27). She beat the previous second-place 3A finisher in the 100 meters, Mariyah Robinson of Flossmoor, who recorded a time of 7.62 in the 60. Raglin broke the previous meet record in the 200 with her 24.27.

Rayna is an Auto Butler Female Athlete of the Month for the Redbirds.
Raglin was third place in the 100 meters at the 2025 3A state meet outdoors with a time of 11.81. Robinson was second at the state meet in the 100 with a time of 11.56, so the win against her was a big accomplishment.
Angelena Bullocks of Chicago Whitney Young won the 100 last year with a time of 11.35, but she has graduated.
Raglin was fifth outdoors in the 200 (24.44) at state. Robinson won the 200 last year with a time of 23.70.
Vail Schwaab was 18th for Alton in the 800 meters in the Chicago meet (2:42.08); Sophie Helfrich was 21st in the 1,600 (5:54.76), and the 4 x 400 relay team for the Redbirds was 10th (4:26.55).
