Rep. Kevin Schmidt Names Hoffen Funeral Home for His “Business of the Month”

MILSTADT - After receiving submissions from across the 114th District, State Representative Kevin Schmidt (R-Millstadt) has chosen Hoffen Funeral Home in Millstadt for his “Business of the Month.” With decades of experience, Rep. Schmidt said the team that operates the family-owned funeral home goes above and beyond with their services to help care for families.

“When a loved one passes away, trust and compassion is what families need from a funeral home, and Hoffen Funeral Home has caring, professional staff members,” said Schmidt. “The owner and director, Elle Heiligenstein, prides herself for the quality of resources available to help bring comfort to families during difficult times.”

Elle Heiligenstein graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with her bachelor’s degree in mortuary science and funeral service. She has been in the funeral service since 2014 and has owned Hoffen Funeral Home since 2019. Elle personally added touches of home to the interior to make it feel like a home environment. “Hoffen” means hope in German.
