Calhoun Warriors Dominate Pittsfield with 75-55 Victory

Calhoun bounced back strongly after a loss, improving their record to 23-4 with a commanding win over Pittsfield, highlighted by key performances from Lane Eilerman and Jack Zipprich.

HARDIN - Calhoun bounced back from a loss with a 75-55 win over Pittsfield on Tuesday night, improving its record to 23-4.

Calhoun led 19-9 after the first quarter and 34-23 at halftime. Pittsfield cut into the margin in the third, outscoring Calhoun 19-16, but Calhoun pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 25-13 advantage.

Lane Eilerman led Calhoun scorers with 26 points against Pittsfield, Jack Zipprich added 13 points. Charlie Matthews had 6 points, Jack Goode had 8 points for the Warriors, and Gage Kiel had 7 points. Jake Brannan and Blake Nolte contributed 4 points each, and Henry Barzcewski had 2 points.

Pittsfield was led in scoring by Collin Bernard with 19 points, and Taylor Graham added 12 points.

Routt Tops Calhoun 61-51

The win followed a 61-51 loss for Calhoun against Routt on Monday night. In that game, Calhoun trailed 25-21 at halftime after being outscored 12-5 in the second quarter.

Calhoun's Eilerman had 23 points to pace the Warriors against Routt, Zipprich added 17 points. Nolte had 7 for the Warriors and Jake Brannan and Charlie Matthews each had 2 points against Routt.

B. Mossman paced Routt with 18 points, N. Mossman added 14 points, Abell had 14 and Turner added 12 points. Routt stands 25-4 on the season.

Calhoun plays at home on Thursday against Griggsville-Perry, then hosts Roxana on Friday night and faces Illini West at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 21.
