Several O’Fallon officers and athletes, along with Alderman Jimmy Ford, traveled to Bloomington to take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois Kickoff Conference, where the department reported its 2025 fundraising totals. The department said it raised $136,928 in 2025, ranking first in Illinois in the 26–75 officers category and second overall statewide.
“This accomplishment reflects the generosity of our community and the dedication of our team,” the police department said in a statement. “Your support makes this possible.”
The O'Fallon Police Department said retired Capt. James Cavins received a Hall of Fame Award “in recognition of his years of leadership and commitment to helping grow our department’s Torch Run efforts.”
In addition, the department said students at St. Clare School invited first responders to visit “so they could personally thank us for serving the community.”

Stein Is A New Police Hire
The department also announced the addition of Officer Maci Stein as its newest member, saying she has three years of experience from Springfield, Missouri.
