IHSA PLAYOFFS --- REGIONAL FINALS

CLASS 2A

CARLINVILLE 55 WILLIAMSVILLE 25: In the final at Auburn, Carlinville went out to a 30-6 halftime lead, shutting out Williamsville in the second quarter 19-0, and won the regional to advance to the North Mac Sectional. Kaitlyn Reels led the Cavaliers with 26 points, while younger sister Ruthie added 20 points.

Carlinville is now 15-17, and goes to the sectional, while the Bullets wind up at 15-16.

Carlinville faces Father McGivney Catholic in the Virden (North Mac) Sectional semifinals at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026.

CLASS 1A

NOKOMIS 44, CARROLLTON 35

In the final at Greenfield Northwestern, last year's runners-up, Carrollton, were eliminated by Nokomis 44-35, and in the Lewistown final, Mt. Sterling Brown County defeated Athens 58-24. In the Sandoval final, Carlyle eliminated Marissa-Coulterville 49-31.

ROXANA/BREESE CENTRAL FINALS

CLASS 2A

In the Roxana final at Larry Milazzo Memorial Gym, Marquette Catholic defeated Gillespie 44-32, while in the Breese Central final, the host Cougars eliminated Breese Mater Dei Catholic 54-25, and in the final at Freeburg, Nashville eliminated the host Midgets 40-28.

CLASS 3A

QUINCY NOTRE DAME 54, CIVIC MEMORIAL 44

In the final at Quincy Notre Dame Catholic, the host Raiders knocked out Civic Memorial 54-44, at Carbondale, the host Terriers eliminated Triad 39-29, and in the final at Centralia, Marion defeated the host Orphan Annies 59-47.

CHATHAM GLENWOOD 49, HIGHLAND 37: In the final at Highland, top-seeded Glenwood broke out on top early and went on to win over the host Bulldogs.

Jordan Bircher led Highland with 21 points, while both Mady Holcmann and Sophie Schroeder had six points each.

The Titans advance with a 26-4 mark, while the Bulldogs conclude their season at 19-14.

CLASS 4A

BELLEVILLE EAST MOVES AHEAD

In the final at Belleville West, Belleville East and O'Fallon were tied at halftime 13-13, but the Lancers outscored the Panthers in the second half 24-19 to take a 37-32 win and advance to the Peoria Richwoods sectional.
