Coach Steve Medford Achieves 300th Win In Marquette Catholic's Victory Over Breese Central

BREESE — Steve Medford reached a huge coaching milestone Friday night, Feb. 20, 2026, in Breese, earning his 300th career victory as Marquette Catholic defeated Breese Central 44-28 on the road.

Marquette is now 22-6 overall on the season.

Marquette Catholic built its win with quarter-by-quarter scoring of 14-10-9-11. Breese Central scored 11-3-7-7.

Cameron Golike led Marquette Catholic with 14 points. Cam Jones added 12 points, Chase Jones scored 10 points, and Jack Rea and Nolan Robinson had 3 points each.

Conlan Haar led Breese Central with 9 points.

Marquette Catholic is scheduled to play next week in a regional at Roxana. Marquette is the third seed in the sectional and will play the Monday East Alton-Wood River-Litchfield winner at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Roxana.
