Dickerson is heavily involved in JROTC. He cares a lot about giving back and helping others. He even received a presidential award for his hard work.

When Dickerson isn’t busy with his schoolwork, he enjoys spending time with his family and making art. Family is very important to him. He also loves creating and gets a lot of enjoyment from trying new things with his art.

Dickerson knows exactly what he wants to do after high school. His teachers and loved ones fully believe that, with his work ethic and kindness backing him up, he will succeed.

“As soon as I graduate, I'm going to go to college for paramedic school and after that I'm going to spend time in Texas,” he shared. “My dream is to become a paramedic and spend time with my dad and my stepmom.”

Congratulations to Mark for this recognition by Alton High School and the Hayner Public Library District!
