During the Board’s regular meeting on Feb. 23, 2026, Acting Superintendent Dr. Allen Duncan explained that the Historic Lincoln School Alumni Foundation has served over 75 families so far this school year. He noted that the foundation was “developed on a simple yet powerful mission to ensure that District #7 students are supported, uplifted and positioned for success."

“Comprised of dedicated alumni and longtime community members, this esteemed organization has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars back into District #7, demonstrating an enduring commitment to opportunity, access and achievement,” Duncan said. “Tonight, we’ll take a moment to thank the foundation and recognize the continued generosity and specific support of the Homeschool Liaison position.”

Members of the organization filled the audience of the Board meeting. The Board thanked them for their generosity and continued support of students in the district.
