Bacon scored 10 points on Feb. 25, 2026, in the Piasa Birds’ final game of the season against Staunton in the regional. The game was played as Bacon continued to show improvement throughout the season, according to coach Jason Darr.
Bacon is also an Altonized Community Federal Credit Union Male Athlete of the Month.
“He has been a consistent offensive player and has come a long way defensively, making his game a whole lot better on both ends of the court,” Darr said. “The last five games he has been a starter.”
Darr said Bacon’s progress continued through the end of the season.
“He with the others, will have to spend a lot of time in the weight room and play a lot over the summer,” Darr said.
Bacon continued to show improvement all season for Southwestern's boys basketball team and in the end was one of the Piasa Birds best players despite only being a sophomore.
