
JERSEY - The Jersey Community Middle School wrestling team won the IESA Regional Championship, finishing first ahead of Litchfield, North Mac, Auburn, Roxana, and Wood River.

The Panthers secured the title at the IESA regional meet, led by a group of sectional qualifiers and multiple individual champions.
Jersey's middle school and high school wrestling programs have both demonstrated a huge upswing in recent months.
JCMS also received championship performances from Wade Ball, Carter Scott, Grayson Mangara, Caleb Olano, Brody White, Brody Olano, and Colton Mueller. Bennett Leslie finished second, and Andrew Ray was third for JCMS in the regional.
The regional title came against what the team described as a strong field. The JCMS wrestlers will compete next weekend, March 7, 2026, in the sectional.

The JCMS seventh-grade volleyball squad traveled to Alton for the first round of the regional and beat Granite City in a two-set win, 25-12 and 25-13.
