For her hard work, Elyse Myatt is a Student of the Month for Althoff Catholic High School.
Myatt, a senior, has played varsity girls’ soccer for four years. She also joined the swim team as a freshman. It takes a lot of commitment to balance schoolwork and sports, but she does so gracefully.
Myatt is a member of the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service. She was named an Illinois State Scholar, placing her in the top 10% of her class.
She recently joined Belleville’s CEO program, which aims to develop entrepreneurship in high school students. This program requires a lot of work, and Myatt always puts in the extra effort.
She is also Head of Holy Communion Ministers/Sacristan and a Catholic Enrichment Leader, making her one of the school’s top leaders. She loves to represent and advocate for her classmates.
Outside of school, Myatt works as a lifeguard and serves on the Cardinal Glennon Junior Board. She also plays club soccer and swims on a community team. In her limited free time, she enjoys going to concerts, hanging out with friends, and going to the gym.
She has been named a Girls 1A State Champion and honored through the College Board National Recognition Program. She has big plans for after high school, and her teachers and loved ones will be cheering her on.
“[I plan to] major in civil engineering,” she shared.
Congratulations to Elyse for this recognition from Althoff Catholic High School!
