Charges were issued Tuesday, March 3, 2026, against Ware, who lives in the 6100 block of Behle Avenue in St. Louis, Mo., 63135, according to a statement dated Wednesday, March 4, 2026. He is charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. Ware is being held on a $200,000 cash-only bond with no 10% option, the statement said.

The probable cause statement says that on March 2, 2026, the victims were retrieving one of their vehicles from outside Ware’s residence when he exited and “flourished a firearm at the victims.” The statement says Ware later drove to the home of the victims’ mother and again “flourished the firearm.”

According to the police statement, when the magazine fell out of the weapon, one of the victims “bear-hugged the defendant to keep him from shooting the weapon.” The statement says Ware “utilized the firearm to pistol-whip the victim in the head,” and the firearm discharged “in a residential area.”

Ware left the scene but was later located by police, the statement said. Police found him “in possession of firearms as well as a clear plastic baggie containing a white, powdery substance,” according to the police statement. It says Ware admitted to hitting the victim with a pistol and admitted that one of the firearms in his possession was the one he used in the offense.

Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department’s City of Jennings Precinct are handling the investigation, the statement said.

Please note, charges are merely an accusation, and Defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
