Routt Secures 67-50 Win Over Bunker Hill In Boys 1A Sectional

NOKOMIS — Jacksonville Routt pulled away from Bunker Hill in the second half to earn a 67-50 victory Tuesday night, March 3, 2026, in the IHSA Class 1A Nokomis Sectional semifinals.

Bunker Hill carried a strong first half into the break, but Routt came out strong after halftime to secure the win.

Bunker Hill’s season ended with a 24-8 overall record.

Bunker Hill scored 16-12-11-11 points in each quarter, while Routt tallied 18-13-16-20 points each period.

Peter Jarden led Bunker Hill with 13 points. Bryce Yates and Cole Yates each scored 11. Dean Throne added six points, Carter Beck had five, and Jake Spencer and Brennan Fulton scored two apiece.

Routt will play the Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Calhoun-Mt. Sterling (Brown County) winner at 7 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, in the 1A sectional championship.
