ALTON - The Alton School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mack Ivory as the new Assistant Principal at Alton High School.

Mr. Ivory holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Missouri Baptist University, as well as two Master’s degrees from Missouri Baptist University: one in the Art of Teaching and the other in Educational Administration.

Mr. Ivory began his educational career in January 2020 as a Student Support Specialist in the Rockwood School District. Throughout his career, he has built a strong foundation in both classroom instruction and coaching. His focus continues to be promoting student growth academically, socially and emotionally. He brings extensive experience in leading extracurricular programs that foster school pride and student engagement.

“I am excited to join the Redbird community,” said Ivory. “Alton is a special place with a wide offering of activities academically, athletically, and culturally.” He recognized the district’s strong commitment to preparing students for college and career, expressing excitement about the vision for Alton High School.

The district is excited to welcome Mr. Ivory to the leadership team at Alton High School and looks forward to the positive impact he will have on the Redbird community.
